I first saw this film a few years after it came out. If you like weird Japanese movies you have to see this. It is memorizing and inspiring. Well for me anyway after seeing this many of my girls had spiral hair.
Uzumaki うずまき?, Translates to Vortex is a horror manga written and Illustrated by Junji Ito first published in 1998 and adapted into a movie in 2000
The story is about a small Japanese town and its inhabitants who become obsessed with spirals around them.
Many to their deaths.
My personal favorite obsession its the girl whose hair becomes giant spirals that have a life of their own.
I guess seeing Battle Royal last week made me remember my old friend Uzumaki.
